I have just seen the excellent article on Haiti, especially featuring the Citadel, and certainly am pleased this very interesting, beautiful country is featured.
However, I am most distressed re the article on the Oloffson, discussing its “star” quality, former “lease-holders”, etc – as the article completely eliminated the time my husband Al Seitz and myself ran the Oloffson, and hosted most of the celebrity clientele during the 1970’s until his death in 1983. I continued until 1986, when I left Haiti. We were there over 20 years! This is a huge omission, which is disturbing to my 3 sons and myself. We had a lot of publicity during this time, including an article in “People” Magazine. I would like some sort of adjustment on this very big omission.
Thank you.

Suzanne,
Are you okay? We didn’t know where you were and were concerned that you might have been in Haiti during the earthquake.

I was one of the employees who worked very hard at that time , along with Mario schettini, Richard jules, and Francois Chavenet etc.. to make the oloffson what it had become. I totally agree with Mrs. Suzanne Seitz. This is a huge omission.
